Functioning as a full-service veterinary facility, Tender Care Animal Hospital of Peoria has two doctors, five examination rooms, an intensive care unit (ICU), a surgical suite, specialty and radiology suite, on-site pharmacy, a dental station, and an isolation and treatment room. Our on-site laboratory allows for faster diagnosis of your pet's condition. Digital radiology and ultrasound allow our doctors to correctly diagnosis your pet's condition. Wellness plans are available for all stages of life including but not limited to geriatric screening.
Requirements
Tender Care Animal Hospital in Peoria, Illinois is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and provide dedicated support for patient care, appointments, diagnostics, and the overall client experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary assistant who wants to utilize their skillset in a supportive, collaborative general practice environment. You will play an important role in providing efficient, high-quality patient care while supporting the veterinary team and creating a positive experience for clients and their pets. In this position, you will take an active role in: Supporting veterinarians and technicians with daily patient care Preparing patients and exam rooms for appointments Assisting with diagnostics, laboratory procedures, and radiology Providing compassionate patient handling and restraint Supporting client communication, admissions, and discharges Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital environment Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $15 - $17 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday. Saturdays are on rotation.
