South Suburban Low Cost Veterinary Services Clinic is an extraordinary organization that’s been serving the community for more than 50 years. Our mission is to protect and promote the well-being of pets and our people in the community and beyond. After the original owner retired in June 2022, the clinic was adopted by the humane society who opened a brand new, 19700 square feet animal resource campus. The practice provides comprehensive care including dental cleanings, vaccinations, surgery, heartworm treatments, microchipping and wellness packages to the beloved pets in the community. Our compassionate team understands and wants to make a difference on the human and animal bond, and therefore, we aim to create a better world for pets and the people who love them.
We are located in Matteson, Illinois, is just a 45-minute drive South of downtown Chicago. Known as the Chicago Southland, this area offers its residents family friendly attractions, endless shopping opportunities, numerous trails for biking and walking, breweries, and eateries. South Suburban Low Cost Veterinary Services Clinic, sits on The Forest Preserves of Cook County. Home to 70,000 acres of nature, this preserve offers the staff a place of tranquility and serenity during their workday.
Requirements
What You’ll Be Working On: -Build and maintain client relationships -Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases -Perform dental procedures -Perform general wellness exams and surgeries -Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care -Guide and utilize exceptional support staff -Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork Qualifications: Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required Be licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Illinois One year experience is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply Experience performing dental procedures is required Experience on working with small animal and soft tissue surgery is required Experience working in a high volume practice is preferred Ability to understand a diverse population’s needs Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity Strong verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual, is a plus!
