In Your Day-To Day, You Will: Deliver exceptional nursing care by advocating for your patients and providing compassionate support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Utilize your technical expertise to perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication calculations and administration, digital radiography, and patient preparation and recovery. Monitor anesthesia for a wide range of advanced procedures, including endoscopy, CT imaging, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, and minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures. Assist surgeons throughout complex procedures, maintaining a sterile surgical field while supporting abdominal explores, cruciate repairs, fracture repairs, thoracotomies, laparoscopic surgeries, and arthroscopic procedures. Partner closely with veterinarians during patient appointments by educating clients, answering questions, and ensuring a positive client experience from admission through discharge. Apply sound clinical judgment while working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty environment. Maintain and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment and instrumentation, ensuring everything needed for each procedure is prepared and readily available. Collaborate with a highly skilled team to provide outstanding diagnostic, surgical, and nursing care while continually prioritizing patient safety and comfort. What You Bring: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or an experienced veterinary nurse with at least 3 years of emergency or specialty experience, including advanced anesthesia monitoring for ASA 3–5 patients. (New graduates and current CVT students are encouraged to apply!) A comprehensive understanding of anesthetic monitoring and a passion for providing exceptional care to surgical and critically ill patients. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
