Practice Overview

Uptown Animal Hospital is a full-service, progressive small animal general practice. Our hospital is well-established in the community and has been serving Cook County since the 1960s. Our two medical leads, Dr. Kathy Tyler and Dr. Jim Dickes, have created a supportive, collaborative practice where people truly enjoy coming to work. Many of our employees (veterinarians, manager, and support staff) started here 20+ years ago and never left! Our doctors routinely review lab work, radiographs, and challenging cases and have rounds twice a day to ensure the best patient care possible. We are also lucky to be in an affluent neighborhood, so most of our clients are well-educated, able to do full work ups, and follow recommendations. Our hospital is fully equipped with an in-house lab, digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, and surgery and dental suites.
