Job Description

We are working on behalf of a well-established small animal hospital in Ringgold, GA, that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its team. This is a busy, forward-thinking practice where doctors are genuinely well supported. A large team of credentialed veterinary technicians (LVTs, RVTs, CVTs) keeps the workflow moving, and the equipment list includes dedicated ultrasound, a separate state-of-the-art dental suite, and a therapeutic laser. The doctor team is highly collaborative, with peer-to-peer mentorship, open case consultations, and a real appetite for new ideas and continuous improvement. The caseload is comprehensive dog and cat medicine with a diverse mix of routine and emergency presentations, so there is plenty of variety day to day. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, which makes this an unusually clean schedule for a full time general practice role. Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship from the start. Ringgold sits about fifteen to twenty minutes from downtown Chattanooga, TN, with a cost of living roughly 16 percent below the national average and housing costs around 30 percent below, so your salary goes considerably further here than it would in a larger market. Outside of work there is kayaking on South Chickamauga Creek, hiking at Chickamauga Battlefield, and a highly regarded county school system. The role comes with a comprehensive benefits package, a generous sign on bonus, and strong support for continuing education. Key Highlights • Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, with no weekend hours • Large team of credentialed veterinary technicians (LVTs, RVTs, CVTs) supporting every doctor • Dedicated ultrasound, a separate state of the art dental suite, and therapeutic laser • Highly collaborative doctor team with peer to peer mentorship and open case consultations • Dedicated mentorship for students and new graduates, who are encouraged to apply • Comprehensive dog and cat caseload with a diverse mix of routine and emergency work • Generous sign on bonus available • Cost of living around 16 percent below the national average, fifteen to twenty minutes from Chattanooga, TN About You • DVM degree from an accredited university, or the equivalent • Licensure in good standing to practice in Georgia, or the ability to obtain it • Committed to a high standard of medicine and to the veterinary code of ethics • Enjoy teaching others and working closely as part of a team • A curious lifelong learner who wants to keep growing clinically • Build client relationships on trust, empathy, and clear communication Benefits • Salary negotiable based on experience, with eligibility for additional variable pay programs • Generous sign on bonus • 401k retirement savings plan with company match • Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus infertility benefits and gender affirmation services • Paid parental leave, vacation, and sick leave • Continuing education allowance with paid CE days • Access to mental health and financial well-being resources
