Sprayberry Animal Hospital in Marietta, GA is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our growing small animal practice. We’re looking for someone who brings strong hands-on clinical skills, can confidently work independently, and understands that great veterinary medicine is built on teamwork. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced veterinary professional who wants to be trusted with their skills, supported by their team, and part of a practice that values high-quality patient care. 🌐 https://sprayberryanimalhospital.com 📍 2135 Post Oak Tritt Rd, Marietta, GA 30062 What You'll Do Clinical & Surgical Support Assist veterinarians during exams, diagnostics, and surgical procedures Support surgical induction, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery Prepare patients and surgical suites using proper sterile techniques Monitor patients post-operatively and report changes in condition Confidently handle and restrain patients of various sizes and temperaments Assist with triage of urgent cases and help guide appropriate referrals to local emergency hospitals Provide compassionate, efficient care in fast-paced situations Perform phlebotomy, catheter placement, radiology, and in-house lab work Administer oral, subcutaneous, and intravenous medications as directed Accurately document treatments, diagnostics, and communications in the medical record Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient care and discharge instructions Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment and surgical areas Collaborate closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff What We’re Looking For: 2+ years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting  Strong foundation in veterinary nursing and patient care  Comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative team player  Confident with venipuncture, IV catheters, medications, anesthesia monitoring, surgery, dentistry, radiology, and in-house diagnostics   Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail   A compassionate approach to patients, clients, and coworkers  LVT credentials are a plus, but not required This position is not entry level and is best suited for an experienced veterinary professional ready to contribute from day one. This role requires the ability to work on your feet for extended periods, safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of varying sizes, and assist with lifting and moving patients and equipment. Candidates should be comfortable performing routine clinical tasks that involve bending, kneeling, reaching, standing, and repetitive hand movements. The role may involve lifting or assisting with animals weighing up to 50 pounds, with appropriate team assistance or equipment used when needed.
