Responsibilities As the Emergency Veterinarian, you will: Provide immediate medical care for emergency and critical patients. Perform triage assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans. Diagnose and manage urgent and complex medical cases. Oversee hospitalised patient care and treatment progression. Perform emergency procedures and surgeries when required. Work closely with veterinary technicians to ensure effective patient care delivery. Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and outcomes. Maintain accurate medical records and case documentation. Collaborate with specialists and emergency team members to provide comprehensive care. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will: Hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent. Hold an active veterinary licence in Georgia or be eligible to obtain one before starting. Hold an active DEA licence or be eligible for DEA licensure. Have experience in emergency medicine or have completed a small animal rotating or emergency internship preferred. Demonstrate strong clinical judgement and emergency case management skills. Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
