Emergency Veterinary Client Care Coordinator | $20–$24/hr Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency | Alpharetta, GA Full-Time | Friday–Monday | 10:00 AM–8:00 PM Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency (AVSE) in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a full-time Client Care Coordinator to join our Emergency Services team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinary professional who enjoys client communication, care coordination, and supporting veterinarians in a fast-paced emergency environment. As an Emergency Department Client Care Coordinator, you’ll serve as an important connection between veterinarians, pet owners, Veterinary Technicians, and the front office. You’ll help ensure clear communication, efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and a smooth client experience while allowing the medical team to stay focused on patient care. Compensation $20–$24 per hour, based on experience Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous paid time off 401(k) with employer match Continuing Education (CE) allowance Uniform allowance Employee pet discount Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Short- and long-term disability insurance Life insurance Professional development assistance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee referral program Schedule Full-Time Friday–Monday 10:00 AM–8:00 PM Emergency Services schedule Responsibilities Lead estimate creation and treatment plan presentation to clients Clearly communicate the value of recommended services and help clients understand treatment options Review final invoices with clients prior to discharge Maintain up-to-date awareness of patient needs, status, treatment plans, and progress Monitor client wait times and provide timely follow-up and communication Serve as the primary communication liaison between clients, veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, and front-office team members Provide timely patient updates while managing client expectations throughout the visit Accurately receive, document, and relay phone, email, and fax communications Assist veterinarians with medical records, charting, treatment plans, and discharge documentation Coordinate patient discharges and ER transfers in collaboration with the Veterinary Technician team Explain basic discharge instructions, medications, and home-care recommendations to clients Collaborate with Client Service Specialists and clinical staff to maintain efficient workflow and continuity of care Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow established processes consistently Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of veterinary experience Strong client service and communication skills Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills Comfortable explaining medical information, treatment recommendations, and basic discharge instructions to clients Ability to remain calm, confident, and professional during stressful or emotional situations Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative Proficient with computers and basic keyboarding Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and medication handling preferred Previous experience answering phones and interacting with clients in person Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic veterinary environment Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with clinical and client service teams Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a plus Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
