Your responsibilities may include: Patient Care and Veterinary Nursing  Provide hands-on care during examinations, treatments, and procedures   Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement  Complete and assist with in-house laboratory diagnostics  Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care   Maintain accurate and timely medical records   Support veterinarians in developing and carrying out treatment plans  Surgery, Dentistry and Anesthesia  Assist with surgical and dental procedures  Provide anesthesia monitoring and perioperative patient care   Support patient preparation, recovery, and discharge   Utilize appropriate monitoring equipment and protocols to promote patient safety  Team Development and Mentorship  Help train and mentor veterinary assistants and technicians   Share clinical knowledge and technical best practices   Serve as a resource for teammates developing their skills   Help create a positive, collaborative learning environment   Support onboarding and continued development of new team members  Client Communication  Educate pet owners regarding medications, treatments, and home care   Assist with discharge instructions and follow-up recommendations   Build trust with clients through compassionate, knowledgeable communication   Help create a positive client experience from admission through discharge  Hospital Workflow  Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow   Identify opportunities to improve workflow and patient care   Help uphold hospital protocols and medical standards   Step in where needed to support the team during busy periods What We’re Looking For We’re looking for an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) who is confident in their clinical skills, passionate about patient care, and excited to contribute to the continued success of our team. Current Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential 3+ years of veterinary technician experience  Strong foundation in general practice veterinary medicine  Hands-on experience supporting surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, and patient care  Strong knowledge of veterinary nursing practices and patient safety   Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills  Strong organizational and multitasking abilities   Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in a fast-paced veterinary environment   Commitment to high-quality medicine, Fear Free handling, and compassionate patient care  Willingness to participate in continued learning, mentorship, and professional development   Experience mentoring, training, or onboarding veterinary technicians and assistants   Advanced anesthesia monitoring experience   Strong surgical and dental technical skills   Experience working in an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital  Interest in taking on additional responsibility within the technician team   A desire to grow as a clinical leader and resource for fellow team members  Physical and Working Environment Requirements Working in veterinary medicine is hands-on, physical, and unpredictable. Team members should be comfortable performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation, including:  Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday   Frequently bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and working at floor level   Safely lifting, carrying, and restraining animals, including dogs and cats of varying sizes and weights   Assisting with patient transfers, positioning, and movement throughout the hospital   Performing repetitive tasks such as cleaning, stocking, preparing treatment areas, and maintaining equipment   Working around animal dander, fur, saliva, urine, feces, blood, and other bodily fluids  Working with and around cleaning and disinfecting products, medical supplies, and veterinary medications  Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following hospital safety and infection-control protocols   Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients, clients, and team members Your Growth Matters Here We believe great veterinary technicians should have opportunities to keep learning and build a career, not simply work another shift.
