Job Description

We are seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian to join a long-established companion animal hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys high-quality general practice, strong client relationships, and delivering thoughtful medical and surgical care within a supportive clinical environment. The caseload includes preventive healthcare, diagnostics, ongoing medical treatment, surgery, urgent presentations, and more advanced case management. Established clinical protocols and experienced support staff allow veterinarians to focus on delivering consistent standards of care while continuing to build their clinical confidence and expertise. You will work closely with veterinary technicians and support staff, communicate clearly with pet owners, and contribute to treatment planning and long-term healthcare decisions. The practice places strong emphasis on teamwork, professional development, client education, and maintaining a positive hospital culture. This position is ideal for a veterinarian seeking a strong base salary with monthly production bonuses and no negative accrual, comprehensive benefits, continuing education support, structured mentorship, and opportunities to develop future leadership skills within a well-supported small animal practice.
