Company Description Marion Veterinary Hospital is the longest standing small animal practice in Ocala, Florida. We are a progressive, high-quality two doctor practice focusing on small animals, pocket pets, reptiles, and birds. Services we offer include preventative care, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, emergency and urgent care, in-house diagnostics, digital full body and dental radiology, acupuncture, boarding, and grooming. We are proud to be the only AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited practice in Ocala! Our goal is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care for each patient and to effectively communicate with every pet parent. We work closely with the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida-Gainesville (UF) for more complex medical and surgical cases. Locally, we refer after-hours emergencies to PETS (Pet Emergency Treatment Services), an overnight, weekend and holiday emergency hospital staffed by UF clinicians, residents, students, and staff. Marion Veterinary Hospital is located in Ocala, the seat of Marion County, in north central Florida. We are the “Horse Capital of the World” and the countryside is filled with gently rolling hills and pastures. Ocala is a family-friendly city with a variety of restaurants, shopping, arts community, parks, and recreation. To learn more about us click here.  Job Description Job duties include, but are not limited to: Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Qualifications We’re looking for: Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator Highly organized and possess computer skills Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
