Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Niceville (EVC) is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join our growing Emergency & Critical Care Team. As the only 24/7 Emergency Veterinary Hospital serving Niceville and the Emerald Coast, our team provides advanced emergency and critical care services for pets when they need us most. Full-Time Day Shift Technician Schedule: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM What You'll Do As a valued member of our medical team, you'll play a direct role in patient care, treatment, diagnostics, and client support. Responsibilities include: Emergency and urgent care patient support Hospitalized and critical care case management IV catheter placement and venipuncture Patient triage and assessment Anesthesia monitoring and recovery Diagnostic testing and sample collection Treatment administration and nursing care Client communication during stressful situations Electronic medical record documentation Collaboration with veterinarians and fellow technicians to deliver exceptional patient care Whether your experience comes from Emergency Medicine, Specialty Practice, Urgent Care, or High-Volume General Practice, we encourage you to apply. What We’re Looking For This is not an entry-level position Minimum 2+ years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience required Prior experience in emergency, critical care, specialty, or high-volume general practice strongly preferred Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred, but highly skilled Veterinary Assistants with advanced technical abilities will be considered Demonstrated proficiency in: Patient restraint and handling in high-stress situations IV catheter placement and venipuncture Anesthetic monitoring and post-operative recovery Emergency protocols and multitasking under pressure Experience with veterinary PIMS and electronic medical records Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during trauma cases and overnight surges Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis Why Veterinary Technicians Choose EVC Niceville We're proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports your professional growth, financial wellbeing, and overall wellness. Our sister practice in Destin grew so much, we opened our flagship location in Niceville in 1995. We were created by area veterinarians to fill the after-hour and critical care needs of their patients, and we continue to serve that capacity for the entire region with two locations. Our full-service emergency and critical care practice is located on the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida with its sugar sand beaches and multi-cultural lifestyle. We see a large and diverse caseload and set high standards for emergency and critical care medicine. Our practice is well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, doppler, and a surgical suite. We house a full-service Veterinary Reference Laboratory that provides STAT laboratory testing for our patients. We provide hematology, chemistry, endocrinology, coagulation, blood gas, lactate, urinalysis, and additional routine tests. We have a highly trained and experienced support staff with a high staff-to-doctor ratio to allow for excellence in the care of our emergency and critically ill patients.
