We regularly see dogs, cats, birds, and other exotic animals. Our medical care team has years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care. Dr. Beau Delaporte and the staff of Mount Dora Veterinary Hospital are always working to keep pets and their parents very happy. This has been the goal of the hospital since it was originally founded by Dr. Bill Delaporte in 1985. Job Description As an experienced Veterinary Technician, your responsibilities will include: Triage and patient restraint for exams and treatments Skilled sample collection and in-house laboratory diagnostics Anesthetic induction and monitoring Surgical prep and assistance, including orthopedic procedures Radiographic imaging (digital full-body and dental) Hospitalized patient care, medication administration, and treatment support Clear, compassionate communication with clients regarding care plans and procedures You’ll also have access to hands-on training, and the support needed to grow into advanced roles if desired. Qualifications We’re looking for: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting is required Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, lab diagnostics, and patient care Strong communication skills and a calm, team-focused attitude Ability to multitask in a busy environment A self-starter with a passion for ongoing learning and growth Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Additional Information Please submit your application through this job ad.
