Overnight Emergency Veterinarian Location: Jacksonville & Orange Park, Florida Schedule: Full-time (Flexible shifts including emergency coverage) Compensation: Salary ranging from $135,000 to $155,000 + sign-on bonus + relocation assistance About the Role: A leading emergency and specialty veterinary provider in Jacksonville and Orange Park, Florida is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, delivering critical care while collaborating with experienced emergency clinicians and specialists. The role offers strong clinical support, case diversity, and the chance to contribute to the growth of a progressive, multi-site hospital network. About the Practice: This privately owned veterinary group operates 24/7 emergency and specialty hospitals, serving a large referral network across North Florida and South Georgia. The hospitals are equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities and supported by highly skilled technicians and board-certified specialists. A new state-of-the-art facility is also launching, further enhancing their ability to provide cutting-edge care. The organisation is known for its collaborative, team-oriented culture, strong referral relationships, and commitment to both clinical excellence and work-life balance. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality emergency and critical care to a wide range of cases. Perform diagnostic evaluations, stabilisation, and emergency procedures. Collaborate with specialists and support staff to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients during urgent situations. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure continuity of care. Participate in clinical discussions, case reviews, and ongoing education. Support a positive, team-driven hospital culture. Candidate Profile: DVM or equivalent from an accredited institution. Active (or eligible) Florida veterinary license. Experience in emergency or critical care preferred, but not essential. Strong diagnostic, surgical, and decision-making skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Open to both experienced veterinarians and those seeking to develop emergency skills.
