Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected general practice that blends high clinical standards with a genuinely team-focused environment. The hospital is well-equipped to support strong everyday medicine and surgery, with access to digital radiology, dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, in-house pharmacy, surgical facilities, hospitalization, intensive care support, and oxygen/transfusion therapy. The Medical Director is a University of Florida graduate with extensive experience in the Jacksonville area and a particular interest in small animal surgery, creating a strong environment for collaboration and clinical support. For newer doctors, this role offers a particularly appealing platform, with mentorship available and genuine encouragement for students and recent graduates to apply. The schedule offers consistency without overnight demands, with the hospital open Monday to Friday and Saturday daytime hours only. This is a great fit for a veterinarian who wants to practice high-quality medicine in a modern setting, with the backing of strong infrastructure, progressive workflows, and a team that values patient care, trust, and professional growth. Compensation is flexible depending on experience, and the wider package includes strong healthcare coverage, retirement support, CE funding, paid CE days, parental leave, and access to extensive internal learning resources. Key Highlights: • AAHA-accredited small animal hospital with an excellent reputation for high-quality care • Modern facility with digital radiology, dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab, in-house pharmacy, and surgical suite • Varied caseload combining wellness, diagnostics, medical workups, and routine surgery • Supportive two-doctor team with experienced technical and client care support • Students and new graduates encouraged to apply with dedicated mentorship available • Consistent daytime schedule with no overnight requirements • Strong benefits package including CE allowance, paid CE days, 401(k) match, and comprehensive wellness support About You: • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in Florida • Passionate about delivering a high standard of patient and client care • Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive hospital team • Motivated to continue learning and developing clinically Benefits: • Competitive salary with potential access to additional variable pay programs • Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus fertility and gender affirmation support • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match • CE allowance plus paid continuing education days • Paid parental leave, vacation, and sick leave
