Requirements
We are seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join a busy and well-equipped emergency veterinary hospital serving the Sarasota area. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative emergency environment where veterinarians deliver high-quality urgent and critical care while supported by a skilled technical team and advanced medical technology. In this position, you will manage emergency and critical care cases including triage, diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient stabilization. The hospital provides access to advanced diagnostic tools and modern treatment equipment that allow veterinarians to confidently manage complex emergency cases while collaborating with experienced colleagues and veterinary support staff. The team environment promotes ongoing learning, mentorship, and clinical development. The ideal candidate will hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree and be eligible for veterinary licensure in Florida. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical judgement, the ability to perform well in fast-paced emergency situations, and excellent communication skills when working with clients and veterinary teams.
