About the Area

We are a three-doctor practice, occupying a 6,000 square foot state-of-the-art free-standing facility, offering you full diagnostics, internal medicine, surgery, and reproduction services. As a fully computerized hospital, we use our complete in-house lab, digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, and two surgery suites equipped with CO2 laser to provide the highest quality veterinary medicine available.

Job Description

Position: Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled CVT with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience to help serve as one of our lead technicians. This role primarily focuses on hospitalized patients and also involves managing work-ins, urgent care, and emergency appointments. Responsibilities: - Serve alongside other lead technician, supervising the care of all hospitalized patients. - Maintain awareness of patient status and staff activity throughout the hospital. - Delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care. - Train new veterinary technicians and assist in training veterinary assistants. - Ensure adherence to all hospital policies and procedures. - Maintain and monitor blood machines and anesthesia equipment according to manufacturer-recommended maintenance. - Oversee timely and appropriate treatment of hospitalized patients. - Monitor inventory and supplies comprehensively. - Promote excellent communication, teamwork, and morale across all hospital teams. Requirements: - Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) license. - Minimum of three years of veterinary technician experience, including ICU/hospitalized patient care and surgery support. - Strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and effective delegation. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Dependable and accountable with a strong attendance record. - Passion for high-quality patient care and fostering a positive team environment.
