Veterinary Technician

Job Description West Delray Veterinary (WDV) is seeking one to two experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our busy and growing practice. We are a full-service, integrative medicine practice and are AAHA accredited. Recently, we expanded our facility to include a dedicated space for animal rehabilitation. Our services include: - Comprehensive medicine and wellness care - General surgery and comprehensive dentistry - Digital dental X-rays and digital radiography - In-house diagnostic laboratory and external laboratory capabilities - Integrative therapies such as acupuncture, laser therapy, animal physical rehabilitation, therapeutic massage, herbal and nutritional medicine, and hydrotherapy Ideal Candidate: - Professional who aligns well with our culture - Familiar with routine veterinary outpatient care - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Compassionate and empathetic toward animals and their owners Veterinary Assistant/Technician Responsibilities: - Assist veterinarians during medical emergencies and routine appointments - Obtain relevant patient health history and vitals; maintain detailed medical records - Prepare and store vaccines - Provide outpatient and in-hospital patient care and treatments (e.g., nail trims, sample handling, anal gland expression, ear treatments) - Perform radiograph positioning - Deliver attentive patient care and husbandry - Recognize animal behavior and apply safe, low-stress handling and restraint techniques Qualifications: - Minimum of two years veterinary experience preferred - Interest in pursuing a career as a Certified Veterinary Technician or Veterinarian - At least two years of college education Benefits for Full-Time Employees: - Competitive salary based on experience - Fully paid health insurance after a three-month probationary period - Paid time off after a six-month probationary period - Pet discount program - Continuing education allowance - 401(k)/IRA retirement options after three years of employment - Positive work environment - Opportunity to participate in a unique integrative veterinary care model and community outreach If you are interested in joining a progressive, compassionate, and positive practice, please respond to this post or email info@westdelrayvet.com.
