Practice Overview Atlas Relief is working with a fantastic, modern small animal hospital in the Washington, DC area that is seeking experienced GP veterinarians to provide relief coverage throughout November, December and into January. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive, well-equipped practice that places a strong emphasis on high-quality veterinary medicine, collaboration and providing doctors with the time and support they need to deliver exceptional patient care. The hospital offers modern facilities, excellent diagnostic equipment and a supportive clinical team, creating a welcoming and well-organised working environment. What Makes This Opportunity Attractive? Full 60-minute lunch break, plus an additional 60 minutes of dedicated administrative time. Modern facilities with excellent diagnostic and clinical equipment. Supportive veterinary and nursing teams. Additional veterinarian on-site on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Flexible scheduling, with both full-day and partial shifts considered. Opportunity for regular ongoing relief coverage or individual shifts to suit your availability. General practice caseload within a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Availability & Working Hours The hospital has numerous dates available throughout November and December 2026, extending into early January 2027. November: 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 27, 28 December: 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31 January: 2 Monday–Friday: 8:00am–6:00pm Saturday: 9:00am–5:00pm Shift flexibility: Later starts and earlier finishes can be accommodated. Ideally, the hospital would welcome a veterinarian who can provide regular weekly support, although all availability will be considered, whether that's a few individual dates or a more consistent arrangement.
