Requirements
We are working on behalf of a modern, membership-based veterinary group that is looking for Relief Veterinarians to cover shifts at its hospital in Bethesda, MD. The group was built on a simple idea: better care for pets, a better experience for pet owners, and better working conditions for veterinarians. Clinics are designed with input from animal behavior experts to feel calm and low stress, members have access to 24/7 telemedicine, and pricing is transparent, so conversations with clients stay focused on medicine. Veterinarian wellbeing is written into the company's founding charter, and the group is both a Certified B Corporation and a Public Benefit Corporation. Relief shifts run Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. Every shift includes two hours of protected time, one hour for lunch and one hour for admin, so you can finish your records during the day rather than after close. Appointments are 30 minutes, the hospital is fully staffed, and there are no surgery expectations for relief. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays you will work alongside another doctor, and on other days you will be the doctor on shift with a full support team around you. The team is also hoping to bring on a permanent veterinarian in the coming months, so this is a great way to get to know the hospital if you are open to a longer term move.
