Requirements
4-Day Work Week. All Cats, All the Time. Cats Limited is a feline-exclusive, AAHA-accredited hospital in West Hartford, CT, built from the ground up around how cats actually experience veterinary care. Not "mostly cats." Not "cat-friendly certified" as an afterthought. Every protocol, every exam room, every handling technique is designed for cats, by people who genuinely love them. We're looking for a Veterinary Technician who doesn't just tolerate cats, but who lights up talking about feline behavior, low-stress handling, and the "why" behind the medicine. Someone who wants a career, not just a job and a team and leaders invested in helping you build it. What you can expect from us: 4-day work week – We work hard to make sure our team has time to recharge Flexible scheduling for the right candidate Highly talented and collaborative team Leaders who actively encourage curiosity and continued learning Calm, quiet, cat-only environment - no barking, no chaos Strong technician utilization - you'll actually use your skills, not just restrain and clean Clients who deeply respect the care and relationships the team builds What you'll actually be doing: Blood draws, cystocentesis, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis Diagnostics and patient workflow management Technician appointments and client education Surgery and anesthesia support Feline-specific handling and behavior-based patient care Supporting advanced medicine, including our I-131 (radioactive iodine) program Our tools and technology: IDEXX ProCyte, Catalyst DX, and Sedivue • Zomedica Truforma feline-specific diagnostics • Ultrasound (including a traveling ultrasonographer for echocardiograms) • Digital radiography and dental radiography • Companion laser • Radioactive iodine (I-131) treatment program • Advanced feline diagnostics and second-opinion consults You might be a great fit if you: Notice the subtle shifts in feline body language before anyone else does Get genuinely curious about the medicine behind the symptoms Value communication and teamwork as much as technical skill Want to keep growing into a feline medicine specialist, not just stay stagnant Credentialed technicians preferred; experienced non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply. Compensation: $23–28/hour, based on experience.
