Experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Mt Pleasant Hospital for Animals is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to add to our team! Here at Mt. Pleasant, our technicians are crucial to our success. We are a busy veterinary practice seeing to the needs of new puppies, kittens, exotic exams, routine check ups, and reproduction care, in addition to offering boarding and grooming services! This position may require travel to our sister facility, Pleasant Paws Pet Center. Duties will include but not be limited to: · Educating clients as to their pets needs with at home care · Performing diagnostic tests and lab work, x-rays, as well as preparing and assisting in surgeries · Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments · Administering and monitoring anesthesia · Working alongside several DVMs · Filling prescriptions · Handling and restraining animals of all sizes Experience with Cornerstone a plus!
