Adorable Pets Veterinary Center and Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook are looking to add a compassionate and skilled Credentialed Veterinary Technician to their teams. At our Rarebreed clinics, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. As part of our team, you’ll work with the latest technology, gain access to state-of-the-art training facilities, and collaborate with a positive team to deliver the highest quality of care to the pet patients we all love. https://adorablepetsvet.com/ https://animalhospitalos.com/ Veterinary Technician This is a split role between Animal Hospital of Old Saybrook (60%) and Adorable Pets (40%). The clinics are roughly 20 minutes away from each other. $23.00-$28.00 hourly pay rate (based on experience) WHAT YOU’LL DO Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas Perform physical assessments and record your observations Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures (be comfortable with blood draws; prepare patients for surgery; administer anesthesia; monitor patients during surgery and recovery; administer fluids) Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery Our Comprehensive benefit package includes: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with a total company match up to 4%, after 6 months of employment Generous paid time off and flexible scheduling Continuing education allowance and professional development support Mental Health Resources Company paid bonding leave or applicable state provided bonding leave Perks for Your Pets Too!
