Requirements
We are working on behalf of an independent, family-run small animal practice in East Hartford, CT that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its growing team. Founded in 2014 by a veterinarian with a strong academic and research background, the practice has since grown to two locations, with a second hospital in Hamden, CT, just outside New Haven. This is a varied and interesting caseload. Alongside preventive care, dentistry, dermatology and senior care, the team sees urgent and emergency cases during extended hours, including trauma, toxicities, respiratory cases and seizures. The hospital has in-house digital radiography and ultrasound with same-day results, laser therapy, and the capability to take on emergency surgery and orthopedic work such as fracture repair and cruciate surgery. What's particularly interesting about this opportunity is the level of support on offer. You’ll work alongside DVMs with over 20 years of experience, so there is real scope to learn from the best and develop your skills in surgery, dentistry, emergency, or any other interest you have. Cases are handled as a team, with doctors working closely with experienced technicians and support staff. The practice has a track record of mentoring newer veterinarians, has built externship links with leading veterinary schools, and treats continuing education as part of everyday culture. Whether you are an experienced DVM or a newer graduate looking for genuine mentorship, this is a place to grow your medicine in a close-knit, independent setting where your input is valued.
