Job Description

Midtown Veterinary Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care. In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit. Responsibilities include: Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Assisting in surgery Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $25 - $29 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays. Full-time Benefits Package*: Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Colorado CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentials Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k with company match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Uniform allowance *Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Minimum qualifications and skill set: 3+ years of veterinary technician experience Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the state of Colorado** Proficiency in the following skills: Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery Surgical assistance and aseptic technique Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Medication administration and accurate drug calculations Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing Accurate medical record documentation Client education and communication Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning **Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply Why choose Midtown Veterinary Medical Center?
