Registered Veterinary Technician, Neurology RVT/LVT/CVT $26 - $31/hr. + | +$ Differentials Offered | Colorado Springs, CO Conveniently located in Colorado Springs, Southern Rockies Animal Emergency & Specialty Hospital provides 24/7 emergency and critical care services along with advanced specialty care in surgery and diagnostic imaging. Our multidisciplinary approach allows specialists and emergency clinicians to work together seamlessly, ensuring patients receive comprehensive, high-quality care from presentation through discharge. Schedule Full Time Monday – Thursday On call expectations/rotations required Including 2 weekends per month Job Description The Neurology Technician will be responsible for monitoring anesthesia during MRI procedures and neurosurgical cases. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with complex and challenging neurological conditions, and to deepen your understanding of brain function and neurological disease. Responsibilities Technical skills: venipuncture, blood draw, placing IV catheter, lab sample collection Admitting and discharging procedural and surgical cases. Dispensing medications directed by veterinarian Assisting doctor with outpatient appointments, consults and rechecks. Anesthesia monitoring, endotracheal intubation, assisting the doctor with surgical cases, including scrubbing into surgery. Ability to multitask in fast paced environment with a positive attitude Surgical assisting: preparing and maintaining the surgical environment Calculate drug dosages (IV, IM and SQ) of any pre-induction medications, and administering the same Professional client communication Facilitating scheduling of patients Qualifications RVT/LVT/CVT required. At least TWO years of experience is Required in a surgical setting Proficiency in venipuncture, patient restraint, medication administration, and sample collection. Excellent communication and client service skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment. Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork and collaboration. Fluent English speaking and reading skills required; multilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
