Regional Locum Veterinarian - Western Michigan Western Veterinary Partners is seeking a Regional Locum Veterinarian to support our partner hospitals throughout Western Michigan. This full-time relief position is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys variety, values collaboration, and thrives in a dynamic clinical environment. We're also open to discussing part-time relief scheduling for the right candidate. In this role, you'll primarily support hospitals in the Grand Rapids and Muskegon areas, working alongside talented teams while maintaining a flexible schedule and diverse caseload. What We're Looking For We're seeking a veterinarian who can seamlessly adapt to different hospital cultures and team dynamics while delivering high-quality patient care. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree Licensed (or eligible for veterinary licensure) in Michigan Small animal clinical experience required 5+ years of veterinary experience strongly preferred Ability to quickly build rapport with clients and veterinary teams Strong communication and problem-solving skills About Our Western Michigan Hospitals Our partner hospitals offer: Primarily small animal general practice medicine Multi-doctor teams with experienced veterinary support staff Excellent diagnostic and treatment capabilities Modern equipment and technology Convenient Monday-Saturday schedules No emergency or on-call responsibilities Muskegon Hospital This well-established, two-doctor practice is dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary medicine and exceptional client service. Services include wellness exams, preventive care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and client education. An experienced support team and positive hospital culture allow veterinarians to practice quality medicine while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Grand Rapids Hospital This AAHA-accredited, six-doctor practice features a Fear Free Certified team that provides comprehensive, relationship-centered care. The hospital has special interests in dentistry and behavior medicine, creating additional opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and collaboration.
