Natomas Veterinary Hospital is a thriving, privately owned small animal practice in Sacramento, CA. We focus on wellness and preventative care, urgent care, and high-quality dentistry. Our dedicated team provides exceptional medical care with an emphasis on outstanding client service and communication. We’re open Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and we’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Supervisor who shares our passion for patient care, teamwork, and building strong client relationships. This is a supervisory position requiring strong leadership skills and a growth-oriented mindset requiring a minimum of 2 years' of experience in a similar role. What We Offer: • Competitive pay based on experience • Comprehensive benefits package • Continuing education and mentorship opportunities • A positive, team-oriented culture • A schedule that supports work-life balance (no late nights!) • Schedule requirements include working 5 8-hour shifts including a rotating Saturday schedule Who We’re Looking For/Skills and Responsibilities: • Leadership-oriented individual capable of supervising RVTs and Veterinary Assistants in clinical and operational duties, minimum 2 years' of experience required • Experience training, coaching, and mentoring staff to improve technical skills, hospital workflow efficiency, and patient care quality • Developing and maintaining structured training programs and individualized development plans for staff • Ability to schedule RVTs and Veterinary Assistants to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow • Overseeing equipment maintenance and repair, coordinating with vendors or leadership as needed • Providing safety training and ensuring compliance with OSHA and hospital safety protocols. • Ensuring adherence to DEA regulations for controlled substances and other legal requirements. • Performing minor disciplinary actions under the guidance of the Practice Manager, documenting performance concerns as appropriate • Collaborating with DVMs to optimize workflow, medical quality, and procedural efficiency • Collaborating with other departments (e.g., front desk, inventory, and administrative teams) to ensure seamless communication, continuity of care, and operational efficiency • Conducting performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating professional growth • Facilitating effective communication across departments and promoting a positive team environment. • Participating in regular staff meetings to align goals, discuss improvements, and resolve issues Additional Skills • California Registered Veterinary Technicians only considered for this role • Individuals who take pride in delivering excellent patient care and client communication • Candidates with a strong interest or experience in dental procedures • Team players who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment • Availability to work Saturdays If you’re ready to join a team that values quality medicine, kindness, and genuine client care, apply today and become a vital part of the Natomas Veterinary Hospital family!
