A busy, well-established small animal hospital in West Hollywood, CA is looking to welcome a full-time Associate Veterinarian to its collaborative 7-doctor team. This is a highly productive practice with a loyal client base and strong demand, and it is growing. The role is a 4-day week, with a rotating weekend day, so you get the consistency of full-time hours without giving up every Saturday. Weekdays are built with doctors in mind. There is a 2-hour midday break, final appointments are around 5:30 PM, and doctors typically wrap up by 6:00 PM. Most days, 4 doctors are on the floor: 3 in rooms and 1 dedicated to surgery, dentals, and procedures. Support is a real strength here. You will have 1 to 2 technicians per doctor, and the RVTs and assistants work at the top of their licenses, helping with appointments, treatments, surgery, dentals, and estimates so you can focus on medicine. The caseload is a varied mix of wellness, dentistry, surgery, procedures, and urgent care, mostly cats and dogs, with the option to see small mammals. Surgery and dentals are welcome but not required. A boarded internist visits weekly, a cardiologist visits monthly, and the hospital has excellent relationships with local specialists and emergency hospitals. Doctors here regularly review cases, labs, and radiographs together, and the hospital manager and leadership team are supportive and approachable. The facility is clean and well organized, with full in-house IDEXX diagnostics, an in-house and online pharmacy, and a spacious upstairs break room away from the floor. Compensation is a competitive base salary plus production with no negative accrual, alongside a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid parental leave, and CE support.
