Our Internal Medicine service manages a diverse caseload utilizing advanced diagnostics, endoscopy, imaging, and minimally invasive procedures, offering outstanding opportunities to expand your technical skills. In Your Day-to-Day, You Will Provide compassionate nursing care and monitoring for Internal Medicine patients. Assist with advanced diagnostics, including bloodwork, imaging, endoscopy, biopsies, and aspiration cytology. Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments under veterinarian supervision. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures. Educate clients on treatment plans, home care, and patient progress. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized. Collaborate with veterinarians and specialty teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Stay current with advances in Internal Medicine through continuing education. Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams. Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture. What You Bring High school diploma required. Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license preferred. Experience in specialty veterinary medicine, particularly Internal Medicine, preferred. Strong venipuncture, patient handling, and mathematical calculation skills. Ability to calculate drug dosages, CRIs, client estimates, and invoices accurately. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty environment. A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
