As a Registered Veterinary Technician on our Surgery team, you'll work alongside board-certified surgeons providing advanced surgical care while utilizing cutting-edge technology and delivering exceptional outcomes for pets and their families. In Your Day-to-Day, You Will Prepare patients and surgical suites for specialty surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and veterinarians during advanced surgical procedures. Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia. Place intravenous and urinary catheters and perform venipuncture and blood collection. Administer medications, including controlled substances, under veterinarian supervision. Perform basic laboratory testing to support patient care. Monitor patient status throughout surgery and recovery while communicating updates to the medical team. Maintain accurate medical records and anesthesia documentation. Support client communication during patient examinations and treatment. Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed. Follow OSHA standards and hospital safety protocols. Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams. Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture. What You Bring Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license. Strong anesthesia administration and monitoring skills. Excellent technical, organizational, and mathematical abilities. Strong communication and client service skills. Experience in veterinary surgery or specialty practice preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty hospital. A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
