Job Description

We're partnering with a thriving small animal hospital in Milpitas that is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their close-knit team of three doctors. This well-established general practice has built an outstanding reputation within the community by combining high-quality medicine with exceptional client service. The hospital is designed with patient comfort in mind, featuring separate waiting areas for cats and dogs to create a calmer, less stressful experience for both pets and owners. The practice handles a diverse caseload including preventative care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and wellness medicine, ensuring every day brings variety and professional stimulation. You'll be joining a supportive team of three veterinarians who enjoy working collaboratively and sharing knowledge. The hospital fosters a mentorship-focused culture, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced doctors and new graduates seeking guidance as they develop their clinical confidence. With a highly skilled support team and modern equipment, you'll have everything you need to practice high-quality medicine while continuing to grow professionally. They offer a great work life balance with 3 or 4 days per week with limited weekend split between the DVMs, roughly every fourth weekend you’d need to cover a half day on Saturday! The team works hard but also places a strong emphasis on maintaining a positive workplace culture. While the hospital operates a busy schedule, great teamwork ensures workloads remain manageable and enjoyable. Scheduling is designed to support work-life balance, with only one Saturday commitment every four weeks, shared amongst the veterinary team. Key Highlights (Min 7 bullet points): • Established, high-performing small animal hospital with an excellent local reputation • Team of three experienced veterinarians with a collaborative working environment • Separate cat and dog waiting areas designed to reduce patient stress • Diverse caseload including surgery, dentistry, preventative care, and diagnostics • Strong mentorship culture with new graduates encouraged to apply • Only one Saturday shift every four weeks shared amongst the doctor team • Competitive salary of $160,000-$200,000 plus production bonuses About You (Min 5 bullet points): • DVM or equivalent degree that allows you to practice veterinary medicine in the US • You hold (or are eligible for) a licensure in California • Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and client service • Enjoy working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment • Committed to continued learning and maintaining high medical standards Benefits (Min 5 bullet points): • Competitive salary of $140,000-$200,000 plus production bonuses • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits package • Continuing education allowance and professional development support • Professional liability coverage • Mentorship from experienced veterinarians and career advancement opportunities
