Job Description

Governor Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and provide dedicated support for surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians. In this position, you will take an active role in: Coordinating surgical and dental procedure schedules Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Monitoring patient recovery and ongoing procedural care Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $25 - $32 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday . Every other Saturday is a half day, but only temporarily until trained. Then, it would be on a broad RVT Sat rotation. The 5,600-square-foot hospital was remodeled in 2018 and offers digital X-ray, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, ECG, IDEXX lab equipment, therapy and surgical lasers, and an anesthesia machine. The team has strong exposure to soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and high-volume patient care, with orthopedic procedures supported by a board-certified veterinary orthopedic surgeon.
