Live, work and play in Wine Country on the beautiful Central Coast of California! Paso Petcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team! The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to animal health and welfare, providing high-quality medical care to the pets and people of the Paso Robles area. Our Associates take pride in providing advanced diagnostics and progressive treatments carried by an accomplished support staff. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of veterinary medicine, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status. Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health issues in animals. Perform surgical procedures with precision and care. Utilize veterinary critical care techniques for emergency situations. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in ongoing education. Experience The ideal candidate will have: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Experience in veterinary practice is preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply. Mentorship and collaboration is available at our nearby 24/7 Emergency Hospital. Interest in providing personalized care and developing relationships with long-time clients. Experience with veterinary critical care practices is a plus.
