Job Description

San Marin Animal Hospital is growing, and we are excited to welcome a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to our team as RVT Supervisor! This is a hands-on position, focused on managing daily workflow, delegating tasks, ensuring coverage for breaks, and supporting patient care across appointments and procedures. You will play an important role in staff development, updating and creating new SOPs, and helping to ensure that safety protocols are followed. Our ideal candidate is an emotionally intelligent leader, with genuine passion for mentoring and supporting the growth of their team. Schedule: This is a full-time position with a 4/10 schedule. We are currently open Monday through Friday, but may expand our hours to include Saturdays in the future. Full-time benefits and compensation**: Compensation: $36-42 per hour, for each hour worked* Bonus package: $2000 CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance with HSA option and choice of United Healthcare or Kaiser Permanente Competitive PTO Policy: Vacation time accrual starting at 80 hours per year (based on full-time hours worked), plus CA paid sick leave Life insurance, disability, and 401k options Employee Assistance Program Generous personal pet discount Minimum qualifications and skill set: Current Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California 5+ years of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting Prior supervisor, team lead, or shift lead experience preferred Proficiency in the following skills: Team training and mentorship Development and maintenance of SOPs Maintenance of safety / OSHA standards Inventory management Overseeing hospital flow, appointment and surgery schedule Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery Surgical assistance and aseptic technique Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Radiology positioning and safety protocols Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning About us: San Marin Animal Hospital is a well-established general practice in Novato, California, dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized care for cats and dogs.
