Job Description

Our partners in beautiful Napa Valley are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their long-established, community-focused small animal hospital. This is an opportunity to practice meaningful, relationship-driven medicine in one of the most vibrant and scenic regions of California. With a loyal client base, excellent support team, and a commitment to ethical, high-quality care, our clients offer a workplace where veterinarians can genuinely thrive. Whether you’re looking to advance your clinical skills, take on leadership growth, or simply enjoy a balanced schedule that leaves plenty of time to soak in wine country living, this role offers it all. You’ll step into a well-equipped practice that supports comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care with technology such as ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, and in-house diagnostics. The hospital maintains strong referral relationships with UC Davis and other Bay Area specialists, ensuring continuity and support for complex cases. Their culture is collaborative, compassionate, and deeply rooted in serving the local community with integrity. Flexible scheduling allows for three to four consistent shifts per week with no on-call responsibilities, giving you the freedom to enjoy the lifestyle Napa is known for. The hospital’s long-tenured team, including leadership with decades of service, offers mentorship, camaraderie, and stability in a warm and engaged environment. If you’re looking to join a practice where your voice matters and your work makes an impact, this is an exceptional opportunity. Key Highlights: • Full-service small animal hospital serving the Napa Valley community for over 30 years • Modern diagnostics including ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiographs, and in-house lab • Supportive team culture with a strong focus on integrity, communication, and patient-centered care • Consistent 3–4 day workweek with no on-call responsibilities • Strong referral relationships with UC Davis and Bay Area specialty centers • Opportunity to grow clinically or step into leadership development over time • Paper-lite workflow to support efficient and streamlined practice • Long-tenured team with deep roots in the community and excellent continuity of care • Located in one of California’s most desirable lifestyle regions About You: • DVM/VMD with eligibility for California licensure • Two or more years of clinical experience preferred, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply • Committed to high-quality medicine and client communication • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset • Interested in continued professional growth and contributing to a positive hospital culture Benefits: • Competitive salary or production-based model, with earnings from $100,000 to $140,000 depending on experience • Up to $40,000 in sign-on or relocation support • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage • 401(k) with employer match • Continuing education allowance and dedicated CE time • Reimbursement for license, DEA, membership dues, and professional liability coverage • Generous PTO • Employee pet care discounts and flexible full-time or part-time scheduling
