Job Description

We’re representing a privately owned, small animal hospital in El Dorado Hills that is seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join their compassionate and collaborative team. This long-standing charming clinic is known for providing high-quality care and building strong relationships with clients and their pets in the local community. The hospital offers a broad range of services, supported by excellent diagnostic capabilities, including digital X-ray, in-house lab testing, and both cardiac and abdominal ultrasound. With a loyal client base and a team of three experienced doctors whose interests span internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, behavior, and ophthalmology, you’ll benefit from a strong, supportive environment with a genuine family feel. Appointments average 10–12 per day, each scheduled for 40 minutes to allow for thorough work ups and meaningful client communication. You’ll also have opportunities to participate in a variety of procedures, with a balanced mix of medicine and surgery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a veterinarian looking to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive, community-focused hospital. Key Highlights • Established, privately owned small animal hospital with loyal client base • Broad service offering supported by advanced in-house diagnostics • 40-minute appointments with a daily caseload averaging 10–12 patients • Four-day work week (10-hour shifts) with built-in lunch breaks • Collaborative and family-oriented culture with three experienced veterinarians • Privately owned, veterinarian-led group with multiple hospitals • Genuine focus on patient care and avoiding burnout Key Benefits: • Base salary is experience dependant with a 20% production model (no negative accrual) • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (with additional monthly health contribution) • 401k with 4% match after one year • 3 weeks PTO + 1 week CE leave • CE allowance from $1,200 (negotiable) plus paid CE days • Sign-on bonus • Career development opportunities within a supportive hospital group
