Registered Veterinary Technician OR Senior Veterinary Assistant, Cardiology - SAGE Dublin VA: $26 - $35/hr | RVT: $26 - $40/hr Full-time opportunity in Dublin, California Schedule: 4/10 work week Monday-Thursday; holiday flexibility required As a member of the Cardiology team, you will play a critical role in advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventional procedures, providing exceptional nursing care to patients while working alongside experienced clinicians in a collaborative, team-focused environment. As a Veterinary Technician on the Dublin Cardiology team, you'll have the opportunity to expand your skill set while working alongside cardiologists, allowing you to truly practice at the top of your license. In your day-to-day, you will: Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication calculations and administration, digital radiography, patient prep and recovery, epidural administration, and anesthesia/sedation monitoring for cardiac diagnostics or interventional procedures Assist with advanced cardiac diagnostics, such as echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs), thoracic radiographs, and Holter monitor placement and instruction for home use Assist doctors during patient appointments, providing outstanding client communication and education Advocate for the patient, providing exceptional comfort, diagnostic, surgical, and nursing care, and ensuring patients receive appropriate care, treatment, and after-care Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive patient care Other duties as assigned Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture What You Bring Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (CA-RVT) or Senior Veterinary Assistant with relevant experience Solid technical skills and anesthesia knowledge base, sound judgment, and the ability to function both independently and as part of a team General understanding and experience with small animal restraint, with a focus on cats and dogs High school diploma Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm, professional demeanor Reliable time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task various duties in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate follow-through Ability to understand and follow established hospital processes and procedures (SOPs) A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care Preferred: Experience in specialty veterinary medicine, with a focus on cardiology Valid and current Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California Perks & Benefits Benefits for this role may include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), retirement benefits, paid time off (including sick leave and vacation), short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance Highly competitive and comparable wages based on experience and skill set $2,000 annual CE, plus access to thousands of courses through VetBloom Anesthesia Workshops for continued clinical growth License application and renewal reimbursement for RVTs Financial support and onsite mentorship toward pursuit of VTS $160 annual scrub allowance Health and wellness programs Opportunities for growth and advancement Health, dental, and vision insurance Flex-spending accounts 401(k) Employee Assistance Program 3 weeks accrued paid time off Up to 50% off pet care benefits Monthly birthday celebrations and employee appreciation events in a culture-focused hospital environment Location Highlight Dublin, California sits in the East Bay, offering easy access to San Francisco and Silicon Valley alongside a more relaxed, community-oriented feel.
