Relief Veterinary Technician Compensation Range: RVT $26.00–$40.00/hr | Senior Veterinary Assistant $25.00–$36.00/hr Casual/Relief opportunity in Dublin, California Schedule: Casual status, extra shifts as needed We are looking for Relief Veterinary Technicians to join our Emergency department. Our Dublin facility features state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, and in addition to Emergency, we offer services for Surgery, Critical Care, Oncology, Anesthesiology, and Internal Medicine. In your day-to-day, you will: Support the Emergency department on a flexible, as-needed basis Perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture Provide direct patient care. What You Bring High school diploma 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry; emergency and/or specialty experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and confidentiality and discretion where appropriate Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations Ability to maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP), obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role (waived if you hold a valid CA-RVT license) Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credential preferred A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care Location Highlight Dublin, California sits in the East Bay, offering easy access to San Francisco and Silicon Valley alongside a more relaxed, community-oriented feel.
