About us: Del Mar Heights Veterinary Hospital consists of a team of highly trained and extremely motivated individuals whose primary concern is for the health and well-being of its patients. We have been proudly serving Del Mar since 1990. We are currently looking to hire a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! Salary: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule: Full-time (No Weekends required), 1 hour lunch breaks Location: 2626 Del Mar Heights Rd B, Del Mar, CA 92014, USA Qualifications  Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of California, license must be active and in good standing. 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Passion for working with animals and their owners Experience with proper animal handling and restraint Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories Perform basic exam procedures Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular) Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning Perform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting, and extractions (preferred) Comfortable with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique) Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); in-house laboratory equipment Ability to utilize ultrasound to obtain diagnostic images and urine samples (preferred) Excellent client communication/education Ability to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentation ​ Benefits We Offer Your well-being matters to us.
