Job Description

Relief Veterinary Technician - Emergency - Concord, CA   SAGE Concord is searching for responsible, dedicated, and friendly individuals with a passion for animals and professional growth. If you are an RVT or Senior Veterinary Assistant who is looking to explore a career with SAGE by picking up a couple shifts as needed, we want to meet you! During your time with us, you will be challenged, you will learn, your compassion, skills, and ambition will be rewarded.   Compensation Range: $30.00 - $40.00 hour $5.50/hr differential paid for any hours worked between 6pm - 6am Basic Required Qualifications: High school diploma Current CA Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) highly desired Emergency or Specialty experience Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license) Work Schedule: Casual Status - extra shifts as needed Ethos Veterinary Health is at the forefront of innovation and world-class medicine.
