As an overnight RVT, you'll have the opportunity to manage diverse emergency cases, strengthen your critical care and anesthesia skills, and work alongside a collaborative team committed to exceptional medicine and professional development. In Your Day-to-Day, You Will Triage, assess, and provide advanced nursing care for emergency and hospitalized patients. Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, sample collection, and in-house diagnostics. Administer medications, IV fluids, and continuous rate infusions (CRIs). Monitor critical patients and quickly recognize and communicate changes in patient condition. Assist Emergency veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient stabilization. Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia or sedation. Maintain accurate medical records and provide thorough patient handoffs to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with Emergency veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Specialty teams throughout the hospital. What You Bring Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required. Strong veterinary nursing skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration, drug calculations, patient restraint, and monitoring. Emergency, Critical Care, ICU, Specialty, or other clinical veterinary experience preferred. Anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring experience preferred. Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced Emergency environment. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills. Interest in continuing to develop your Emergency & Critical Care skills. Compensation & Schedule Base compensation up to $40.00/hour, based on experience. Team members receive an additional $5.50/hour differential for eligible hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, bringing potential compensation to up to $45.50/hour during differential hours.
