Veterinary Technician – Critical Care$25–$40/hour, depending on experience and RVT status, plus shift differentials Full-time or Part-time opportunity in Campbell, CaliforniaSchedule: Full-time — overnight, Wednesday through Saturday OR Part-time — Wednesday (swing), Sat/Sun (day), 8-hour shifts As a CCU vet tech, you'll be an essential part of our veterinary team, providing vital support to our veterinarians in ensuring the utmost care and comfort for our clients' cherished pets. In your day-to-day, you will: Assist veterinarians during treatments and procedures Monitor critically ill or injured patients closely Collaborate with the team to ensure around-the-clock care and treatment coordination Offer compassionate care and support to patients and their owners Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians Assist with diagnostic procedures such as bloodwork and imaging Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Monitor and maintain medical equipment Communicate with pet owners regarding patient updates and treatment plans Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide emergency care as needed Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture What You Bring High school diploma 2+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU setting required Strong interpersonal skills Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license) A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care Perks & BenefitsFull-time benefits include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurances, flex-spending accounts, 401(k), Employee Assistance Program, 3 weeks accrued paid time off, and uniforms, opportunities for growth and advancement, competitive CE allowance annually, and health and wellness programs including access to an onsite Veterinary Social Worker.
