Job Description

Clinical Lead– Oncology $35–$45/hour | Campbell, CA | Full-Time | 4/10 Schedule Schedule: Full-time, 4/10 schedule with weekend and open availability required to cover various shifts. SAGE Campbell is hiring a Clinical Lead – Oncology to lead our veterinary oncology team. This role is ideal for an RVT or experienced Senior Veterinary Assistant with at least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced veterinary clinical setting who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career. In Your Day-to-Day You Will Lead and manage a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants Demonstrate strong veterinary clinical skills and serve as a positive role model for the team Provide and facilitate training, mentorship, and ongoing development for department staff Assess team members’ clinical skills and knowledge and identify opportunities for development Create monthly department schedules and ensure appropriate staffing and coverage Promote and implement clinical best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Drive results in staff development, training, client satisfaction, and patient and team safety Support a collaborative, inclusive, and positive clinical environment What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced veterinary clinical setting California RVT license highly preferred Veterinary leadership, mentorship, or team lead experience preferred Strong clinical skills and ability to lead by example Ability to positively influence, mentor, and develop veterinary team members Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to consistently and accurately perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, estimates, and other clinical calculations Must maintain a California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) or obtain one within 60 days of hire or transfer into the role VACSP requirement is waived for individuals who hold a valid California RVT license About SAGE Campbell SAGE Campbell is a leading specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area.
