Job Description

This is a full-service practice providing preventative care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, urgent care, internal medicine and end-of-life care for dogs and cats. The hospital places a strong emphasis on continuity of care, with 40-minute appointments that allow veterinarians to build lasting client relationships and deliver thoughtful, personalised treatment plans rather than rushing through consultations. The veterinary team includes four full-time doctors with interests spanning surgery, emergency medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, behaviour and internal medicine. New graduates are supported through a structured four-month mentorship programme, while experienced veterinarians benefit from the freedom to practise without production targets, quotas or negative accrual. The practice is backed by an established independent veterinary group with more than 50 years of experience operating hospitals across the Sacramento region. The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic technology and is supported by a network of board-certified specialists. Radiographs are reviewed by veterinary radiologists, while mobile specialists regularly provide advanced surgical procedures, cardiology consultations, ultrasound, endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery. During normal business hours, the team also sees urgent care cases, creating a varied caseload without the demands of overnight emergency work.
