Surgery Veterinary Technician, RVT (Licensed , 2yrs experience with anesthesia/surgery required)

Note: All positions at our facility are paid positions. We do not offer unpaid internships. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients as well as client education. This position requires a strong background in anesthesia, handling and restraint, and customer service. Responsibilities: * Assist the veterinarian by collecting patient histories * Perform routine procedures such as TPR’s, blood draws, run in-house laboratory, IV catheter placement * Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian * Monitor vital signs and anesthesia during surgical procedures * Prepare animals for surgery, monitor anesthesia and scrub in during surgical procedures * Proficient in bandaging and radiology * Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals * Client communication: Answer phone calls, reception duties when needed, discharge patients * Maintain accurate medical records Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications: * Previous experience working as a Veterinary Surgical Technician (RVT/LVT) * Strong knowledge of aseptic technique * Familiarity with anesthesia ventilator is a plus * Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and effectively * Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners on proper animal care * Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Benefits: We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
