A well-established, advanced small animal hospital in Yuma, AZ is seeking a Medical Director to lead their experienced 3-doctor team! Serving the Yuma community for over 30 years, this AAHA accredited hospital has become a trusted staple for pets and service animals alike, backed by hundreds of five star reviews and a reputation built on trust, compassion, stability, and communication. The practice is housed in a spacious 10,000 sq ft building with six exam rooms and a dedicated dental suite, fully equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab capabilities, a surgical laser, and even an on-site CT machine, giving you everything you need to practice comprehensive, modern medicine. The caseload spans general practice, orthopedics, wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care, with a genuine focus on exotic and pocket pet medicine that adds real variety to the day. You'll be joining a well-trained, collaborative team of doctors and nurses at a 3:1 support staff to doctor ratio, seeing an average of 20 patients per day whilst having dedicated time aside for your duties as Medical Director. The team offers flexible scheduling with weekend availability and a strong emphasis on work-life balance, alongside a teaching-focused, highly skilled culture where medical autonomy is truly encouraged by robust operational and leadership backing. As Medical Director, you'll receive a base salary of $200,000 to $300,000 plus production bonus and a monthly Medical Director stipend, along with a Long-Term Incentive cash program and no negative accrual, so your performance is always rewarded.
