Kennel Assistant Do you love animals and don't mind getting your hands dirty? If you're hardworking, dependable, and passionate about providing exceptional care to pets, we'd love to meet you! Our busy veterinary clinic is looking for a Kennel Assistant to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring our hospitalized and boarding pets receive excellent care while helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. Responsibilities will include: Providing compassionate daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, and walking. Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and treatment areas to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning throughout the entire clinic, including under, behind, and around equipment and furniture. Bathing, drying, and brushing pets as directed. Assisting veterinarians and technicians by safely restraining animals during examinations and treatments when needed. Weighing patients and accurately recording weights in the medical record. Taking out trash and helping keep all work areas clean and organized. Inspecting the outdoor fencing for any areas needing repair to ensure pet safety. Monitoring assigned tasks and team communications through our practice management software. Completing all opening and closing duties each day. The ideal candidate is: Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated. Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments. Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, standing, bending, walking, and cleaning throughout the day. Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a clean, organized environment. A positive team player who communicates well and is eager to help wherever needed. Willing to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment while providing compassionate care to every patient.
