This is an opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team providing advanced emergency and critical care while continuing to build your technical skills in a specialty veterinary hospital. Schedule Full-time Three 12-hour shifts per week Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 7:45 AM–8:00 PM Responsibilities As a Veterinary Technician on our Emergency and ICU team, you will help provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment. Responsibilities may include: Provide hands-on nursing care and monitoring for emergency and hospitalized patients Assist with patient assessment, treatments, diagnostics, and procedures Safely restrain and handle patients using appropriate techniques Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture and assist with IV catheter placement Assist with diagnostic imaging, anesthesia, laboratory testing, and other clinical procedures Perform accurate drug calculations and administer medications as directed Monitor patients closely and communicate changes in patient condition to the medical team Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked patient care environment Work collaboratively with Veterinary Technicians, assistants, doctors, and other hospital team members Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant in general practice or emergency medicine LVT certification is prioritized Working knowledge of basic veterinary medicine, including restraint, diagnostic imaging, phlebotomy, venipuncture, anesthesia, drug calculations, laboratory equipment, and laboratory procedures Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy emergency and ICU environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both clients and veterinary team members Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive hospital culture Commitment to continued learning and developing advanced Veterinary Technician skills Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
